PRIESTS AUTUMN APPEAL
Thank you for your remarkable support to the priests in the diocese for your support to us at last weekends Autumn Collection.
THANK YOU
Many thanks for your contributions last week for the upkeep of our parishes and churches:
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION WEKEND MASSES
Beginning next weekend, we will be welcoming many of our 2nd Class students and their parents to the first of our ‘Grow In Love’ parish masses. The children and their parents will be involved in the readings, offertory, and other reflections at our community weekend Mass, in preparation of them receiving their First Penance and First Holy Communion in the spring.
We will also have over the coming year, 6th Classes joining us at some of the weekend Masses, who are preparing for their Confirmation. We remember all our young parishioners as they prepare for these wonderful sacraments in their lives.

TAX REBATE SCHEME – ARDFINNAN PARISH
As some of you may be aware there is an opportunity for the Parish to recoup Tax from Charitable Donations i.e. the money that you donate to the Parish through weekly envelopes or special collections. In these challenging times this could be an extra means of supporting the Parish.
This is done by you, the Parishioner, filling in a form with your tax details and thus allowing us to recoup money from Revenue. This in no way affects you but it does benefit the Parish.
Over the next few weeks we will be sending out a letter to those whose donations exceed the required amount of €250 and we ask you to consider filling in the form , a CHY3 Enduring Certificate and returning it to the Parish Office. You are not obligated in any way to do this but it will be a much appreciated way to help the Parish .
Thank you in advance for your support and continued financial support of our parish.
ARDFINNAN N.S. CLOTHES AND MORE
It’s that time of year again when we in the School hold our ‘Clothes and More’ Collection. It’s an important fundraiser, one that we rely on everyone’s support for it to be successful. We would be very grateful for yours!
Please help by dropping a bag or more to the School before Wednesday Sept. 21st. Details of what is accepted by the company are on a poster in the porch. Bags can be left in over the front wall of the school at a time suitable to you. Please tie bags well!
Please spread the word to friends and relatives!
The more that hear about this event the more successful it will be.
Many thanks in advance.
Ardfinnan N.S. Finance Committee.
Thanks for previous support.
FOURMILEWATER CEMETERY EXTENSION APPEAL
Thank you for your recent contributions which have totalled €4,100. Work has now begun on our extension and is on track to be completed in the coming weeks. Obviously, there will be a cost to the parish of approx. €40,000 to implement this necessary extension and upgrade of our cemetery in Fourmilewater.
Please see the Information Sheet in the porches for further information, and a sincere “thank you” for your support in this important project.
GRANGE CHURCH
There will be some works taking place in Grange Church in the coming weeks, so we have to keep the church closed during the week. This will not affect our weekly 10.30am Mass on Sundays.

BAPTISMS
Please contact Paddy in the Parish Office on 052-746 4408 or Fr Michael in Newcastle / Fourmilewater for those who wish to book baptisms in the coming months. We can now have two families at one time – but would ask that each family only bring a maximum of 15 people with them, to keep us all safe.
God bless, and keep safe!
