A NEW YEAR – A FRESH START! ALPHA IRELAND
After a turbulent past 2 years, Alpha Ireland wants to help you and your church start the New Year with intention. Refocus on the Cross and rediscover the joy of the Gospel this January, as we respond to Pope Francis’ invitation “to all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ” (Evangelii Gaudium).
We will be hosting a very special Alpha Online for priests and parish leadership teams or PPCs from Tuesday January 18th 2022 at 8pm, for 11 weeks for one hour, and from the comfort of your own home.
This is an ideal journey for small groups from parishes all over the country. This important part of our Diocesan Pastoral Plan: “Go Make Disciples” will be of interest to those already on our ministry teams and parish councils. Further information will be given next week. In the meantime – if you are interested or want to know more, please contact Fr Michael or email parishes@abgnfparish.ie
PRIESTS CHRISTMAS COLLECTION
Thank you so very much for your continued support to the priests at this time. You can still return the Collection envelopes into any sacristy.
PARISH CALENDARS
Calendars for 2022 and information about Christmas and the Parish are now available in the church porches and in local shops. Please take a copy and bring a copy to a neighbour who may not be able to go out.
CCTV CAMERAS / LIVESTREAM
Please note that for the protection and security of everyone CCTV cameras are in operation in our churches. All of our Masses are Live streamed in Ardfinnan and are at other times broadcast from Newcastle , Fourmilewater, Ballybacon and Grange on Churchservices.tv and Facebook Live pages.
BAPTISMS
Please contact Paddy in the Parish Office on 052-746 4408 or Fr Michael in Newcastle / Fourmilewater for those who wish to book baptisms in the coming months. We can now have two families at one time – but would ask that each family only bring a maximum of 15 people with them, to keep us all safe.
God bless, and keep safe!
Fr. Michael
