MASSES THIS WEEK
There will be NO Mass on Thursday 30th November in Newcastle this week
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCILS
Both parish councils met last week to discuss plans for Christmas and update on general matters, as well as a discussion of the letter Bishop Cullinan recently issued in relation to our future in the diocese. We especially discussed the lack of priests available to sustain the number of Masses along with all the other things to be done daily that we currently have. There will be further discussions across all the parishes in our pastoral areas in the New Year to see how we can plan ahead for the future to ensure we provide the sacraments worthily across our whole pastoral area.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION WEEKEND MASSES
This weekend, we welcome many of our 2nd Class students and their parents to the second gathering of our ‘Grow In Love’ parish Masses. The children and their parents will be involved from time to time in the readings, offertory, and other reflections at our community weekend Mass, in preparation of them receiving their First Penance and First Holy Communion in the spring.
We remember all our young parishioners as they prepare for these wonderful sacraments in their lives, and their families.
Many thanks for your contributions in the last weeks in the collections and envelopes for the upkeep of our parishes and churches:
Ardfinnan/ Ballybacon/ Grange: Weekly Collection €1080
Newcastle/Fourmilewater: Weekly Collection €629

NOTICES AND BOOKLETS / LEAFLETS
We would be grateful that if you wish any notices be placed on our notice boards or any reading material / leaflets to be left out in our churches, if you could contact Fr Michael or leave them at the sacristy door. We are happy to assist and put these out, but recently posters have caused damage to paintwork and woodwork. Often posters have also been covered, and we are required to have certain information permanently on display for Safeguarding reasons.
