SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION WEKEND MASSES

This weekend, we will be welcoming many of our 2nd Class students and their parents to the first of our ‘Grow In Love’ parish masses.  The children and their parents will be involved  from time to time in the readings, offertory, and other reflections at our community weekend Mass, in preparation of them receiving their First Penance and First Holy Communion in the spring.

We will also have over the coming year, 6th Classes joining us at some of the weekend Masses, who are preparing for their Confirmation. We remember all our young parishioners as they prepare for these wonderful sacraments in their lives.

PARISH TRIP TO KNOCK

Our group had a wonderful two days in Knock, where we visited the Museum to see the history of Knock, and how the witnesses lived. Our Mass in the Basilica with Anointing of the Sick was very moving, and the Mass on the Apparition Chapel on Wednesday was an honour for all of us. Thanks to the amazing staff in Knock house Hotel for their care of us, and to Philip our bus driver who got us there and back all in great time.

TAX REBATE SCHEME – ARDFINNAN PARISH

As some of you may be aware there is an opportunity for the Parish to recoup Tax from Charitable Donations i.e. the money that you donate to the Parish through weekly envelopes or special collections. In these challenging times this could be an extra means of supporting the Parish.

This is done by you, the Parishioner, filling in a form with your tax details and thus allowing us to recoup money from Revenue. This in no way affects you but it does benefit the Parish.

Over the next few weeks we will be sending out a letter to those whose donations exceed the required amount of €250 and we ask you to consider filling in the form , a CHY3 Enduring Certificate and returning it to the Parish Office. You are not obligated in any way to do this but it will be a much appreciated way to help the Parish.

Thank you in advance for your support and continued financial support of our parish.

THERE WILL BE NO 10am MASS ON THURSDAY THIS WEEK IN NEWCASTLE

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION  RETREAT Sunday 3rd October in St Mary’s Church Clonmel at 2pm Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan Bishop of Waterford & Lismore will attend. Everyone welcome

GRANGE CHURCH

There will be some works taking place in Grange Church in the coming weeks, so we have to keep the church closed during the week. This will not affect our weekly 10.30am Mass on Sundays.
