TAKE THE RISK FOR CHRIST.

The one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the flock; the gatekeeper lets him in, the sheep hear his voice, one by one he calls his own sheep and leads them out.’

(John 10: 3)

Just as the sheep know the voice of the Shepherd, we pray today – the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, that those whom are being called will recognise the voice of the Risen Lord in their hearts and will follow him to serve as a priest, deacon or religious.

Today, on Good Shepherd Sunday we launch of our Year for Vocation to the Diocesan Priesthood. During this special year, which ends on Good Shepherd Sunday, next year, April 21st, the Church across Ireland, will promote, encourage, invite discussion and debate on vocations to the priesthood.  There are events planned for the entire year

We believe that God is still calling and that there are men who are being called to the priesthood and need encouragement and prayer.

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 1st  MAY

There will be no Mass in Newcastle on Monday.

PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY RALLY

Did you know that over 500 Public Square Rosary Rallies will take place across Ireland on Saturday 13th of May to commemorate the 106th anniversary of the first Marian apparition at Fatima  on May 13th 1917, coordinated and sponsored by Ireland Needs Fatima?

This year is also the 106th anniversary of the miracle of the sun: On October 13, 1917, Our Lady performed a miracle witnessed by 70,000 people, including atheists, communists and anti-Catholics. Some of them converted. The 2023 Rosary Rallies will remind the person on the street that conversion is possible

As part of this national event we are organising a local Public Square Rosary Rally in the town of Clonmel, on Saturday 13th of May at 4.00pm. All are welcome to participate!
