PLEASE SPACE OUT ACROSS THE CHURCH AND MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCE
At the time of writing, all religious ceremonies can proceed without capacity limits but with all other protective measures remaining in place.
Please continue to keep one another safe by wearing a mask in the church and sanitising your hands when entering and leaving. As we are now at full capacity, we have taken away the red taped seats but would encourage you to socially distance yourself from others outside of your family. Thank you for playing your part in keeping us all safe!
Many thanks for your contributions last week for the upkeep of our parishes and churches:
Newcastle / Fourmilewater: €612
SUPPORTING YOUR PARISH
The new boxes of envelopes for those who have used them are now available for collection from both parishes
As explained, for Newcastle / Fourmilewater, they are starting earlier and parishioners can use either the old ones or start using the new ones. We are aligning them so all collections across both parishes occur at the same time during the year.
For those who wish to avail of using this service which goes to support the parish and other collections such as the support of the priests and others special collections during the year, please complete the forms which are available in the porches / parish office and return them to receive your box of envelopes for the coming year.
If your contribution exceeds €250.00 in a year, we may be able to claim a Charitable Tax Relief at no extra cost to the individual.
Thank you again for your continued support for your local parish.

BEST OF LUCK
The Newcastle 5k in aid of the local school takes place on Sunday 30th January at 12 noon. Over the years this event has grown in stature as many athletes see it as an ideal opportunity to test their fitness at the start of the year. Funds raised by this event will go to the local National School, as such there is a great local level of participation. Best of luck to everyone involved!
CPR TRAINING – ARDFINNAN
CPR Demonstration & how to use a defibrillator will take place on Tuesday Feb 15th at 8pm in Ardfinnan Community Centre. Open to the public. Please come along and be informed.

Spaces are still available for our parish pilgrimage to San Giovanni Rotondo, taking place from Monday 28th March – Saturday 2 April 2022, organised by Joe Walsh Tours, and with Mario and Una whom I have worked with many times as our guides.
The tour includes Mass at Benevento Cathedral where St Pio was ordained, visit to St Pio’s family farm house and the place where he received the invisible stigmata Visit Pietrelcina where St Pio was born, the Parish church where he celebrated his first Mass, St Anne’s Chapel where he was baptised and received his first communion
Also, Mass in the Old Church where Padre Pio celebrated Mass for many years. We visit the shrine, the cripta, cell where Padre Pio died and the crucifix before which he received the Stigmata. We also visit the English office, the New Church and the New Cripta where Padre Pio’s remains are, and pray the Station of the Cross. We also visit the hospital he founded and attend Mass, among other places of interest, and a day for shopping in the local market square.
The cost including flights from Dublin to Naples, transfers, one night in Benevento and 4 nights full board in San Giovanni is €785 pps.
