THE ARDFINNAN SENIOR CITIZENS CHRISTMAS PARTY will take place on Sunday December 3rd at 2pm in Ardfinnan Community Centre. ADVENT REFLECTION
It seems fitting that the first week of advent is a reflection on the theme of Hope. Advent ad is a period of four weeks before Christmas when Christians prepare for the coming of Christ. Each week has a theme to ponder in anticipation of the celebration of Jesus’ birth on Christmas Day.
The first week of Hope reminds us of the assurance we have that God will fulfil all his promises through the birth of Jesus. You may often see a candle being lit for the first week of advent. This candle is also called a Prophet’s Candle or Prophecy Candle. It symbolises all the prophesies that were fulfilled with the birth of Jesus

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
This takes place in our parishes on:
Tuesday’s 10-11am Ardfinnan & Friday’s 2.30-3.30 in Newcastle Everyone is welcome to come and spend some time in quiet prayer and adoration.

GRANGE COMMUNITY WALKWAY LIGHTING.
The newly installed lighting is in place at Grange Community Walkway. The Grange Development Association, and especially the dedicated sub-committee, were delighted to see their most recent project completed as the lights went on for the first time at dusk on Thursday, November 16th. All age groups in the community have been enjoying the extra time available to walk the walkway. The lights are on until 9.00 pm each night. We are very grateful for Leader, Tipperary County Council and School support for this project. We will be organising some fundraising events in the coming months to help with current and ongoing costs for this and other GDA community projects. Come along and see the new lighting for yourselves.

GRANGE TIDY VILLAGE SUCCESS.
When the results were announced, the GDA Tidy Village Group were delighted to have achieved first place in South Tipperary in our category for the second year. We recorded an increase of 7 marks on our 2022 result. Well done to the loyal volunteers who help to keep our village tidy and attractive. All support and ideas welcome as we prepare for 2024.
